Donna Riggs established not-for-profit status for Saturday Night Out in 1999. The third venue was held at the Bradenton Municipal Auditorium in Bradenton, Florida and represented two years of the designer's work and research. Donna, dressed as Queen Elizabeth, welcomed the guests to a fascinating ride through history from a fashion perspective.
MC, Bill Galvano, narrated a informative, historical account of influences in fashion through the ages as fashionable famous, and infamous, women who set those trends. A chronological array of Donna's period costumes and contemporary wear mixed with talented musicians and vocalists were celebrated in theatrical presentations. Allison Norton's Bradenton Ballet Repertory performed to music of the time periods represented. Starting with Aphrodite and ending with Donna's futuristic interpretation, 750 dinner guests were educated and entertained, all for the benefit of the Humane Society and the Cancer Society of Manatee County.
